User Interface

Panel Layout



The default window has ribbon interface at the top, and four panels, [1] 3D View, [2] Time Line, [3] Outliner, and [4] Property.
By dragging splitter, you can change the size of panels.
Each panel has header menu bar at the top.



Each panel can change its type by the combobox at the left of header.
The buttons at right separates (verticaly or horizontaly) or destroy the panel.
With these buttons, you can layout the window as you like.



The right click on the header shows panel management menu.
You can also control the layout from the menu. (Especially useful when you accidentally make a too small panel and control icons are outside of the view.)

When the project is saved, the layout of panels are also saved to the file with scene data.

Sub Panel



3DView, Graph, and Color Curve Panels have subpanels, upper right button << and >> toggles subpanel on/off.


Active Object


Basic parameters, Position, Rotation (euler) and Scale of active object is shown in this panel.
Rotation is evaluated as Euler angle.
If Quaternion is checked, four parameters (WXYZ) would be used. (They are shown in timeline only).

Camera

If follow is checked, the 3D view would be locked to the registered camera.

Ribbon UI


Home Tab

Load/Save Project file. Dropdown button with clock mark shows list of recently opnend files.

Open Scene Setting Dialog.

Undo/Redo.

Add Data Object(Volume, Particle, and Height field).

Add, Duplicate and Delete Object.



Object can be one of five types of primitives (Box, Sphere, Plane, Cone, Cylinder).
To use more complicated shape, Use mesh object, where the shape can be imported from a wavefront obj file.

Open Configure Setting Dialog.

Help Tab

Toggle Tooltip on / off.

Tooltips are a small window that shows name and shortcut key when mouse is hovered on buttons.

Show Information / Document.

Text Field



Some text filed for numerical imput can accept mouse drag with ctrl for increase and decrease.

Color Picker Button



Color can be copied and pasted between color picker buttons via right click menus.
